I walk with a foot in two worlds – the world of everyday life and the world of other realms…

I am drawn to liminal spaces and I dream awake to connect my life with the cosmos. I believe in metamorphosis, both personal and collective. I make visual art — sculpture, installation / performance, and lots of printmaking. My writing takes the form of haibun, burning haibun or haiku. My walks range from the windy trails of the Na Pali coast to the volcanoes of Bali to the Himalayas in northern India. Last summer my wanderings included several days in the ancient bristlecone pine forests in the Eastern Sierras of California. I often meander in the hills at the base of Mt. Tamalpais or in the redwoods. My other journeys are more internal, traversing wild inner landscapes. I meditate; I do various kinds of hands-on and energetic healing work. Recent deep dives include an in-depth study with a teacher inspired by the lineage of Carlos Castaneda’s teachings.
