I am offering 30 minute morning meditations in January and February as part of the The Radiance Sutras Instinctive Meditation course I am taking. Your body loves to meditate. In fact, you probably have already discovered gateways into meditative states without realizing it. We all have this instinctive capacity which helps us regulate stress and recover from deep exhaustion. Even after just a few minutes we can access states of deep rest and renewal. This will be a great way to start off the week.
Instinctive Meditation opens new doors. This practice is about becoming deeply intimate with yourself, with life and with the cosmos. This is an invitation to become more aware of the flows of energy that are unique to you. We meditate so that we can be more present in our lives. We build a capacity to respond rather than react. These meditations will include readings from The Radiance Sutras by Lorin Roche which is a yogic text from Vijnana Bhairava Tantra tradition. “The text describes 112 different doorways into meditative experience: breathing, subtle motion, mantras, music, dancing, eating, sex, wandering in nature to the point of exhaustion, gazing out at space, being scared, being in brilliant sunlight, being in total darkness, and so on.”
No experience necessary.
